Thank You to everyone who dined in The Terrace or Riverview Cafe on Trayless Day, Thursday April 24. As a result of going trayless, we were able to reduce food waste by 54%!
Now we want to hear from you! Many college cafeterias across the country have or are considering eliminating trays to reduce food and water waste. Please take a moment and vote in our poll on the bottom of the left column. Please feel free to also leave your comments regarding going trayless here.

I think it's a great idea! It's another step in the right direction.
Thanks, we will start with trayless Tuesdays coming up.
I think this is a great idea. But I think we could have a much larger impact by getting rid of all the plastic and styrofoam in the food courts. Could we consider a product like this: www.stalkmarketproducts.com
We agree. Many of our "to go" cups and plates will be changing this Fall to products made from corn, potatoes and sugar so that it is easier on the environment. We are trying to go away from styrofoam and plastic.
