With the semester coming to an end, we’re getting excited about the upcoming holidays! We’re celebrating throughout campus with some fun decorations and specials.

12 Days of Christmas
In the Marketplace food court in Davies Center we’re celebrating with the 12 Days of Christmas and giving away a gift each day. For every purchase you make, you will receive a drawing slip to enter the daily drawing. Then visit our Facebook page to see if you’ve won!


Holiday Drink Specials in Intermezzos Café

Our baristas at Intermezzos have come up with some fantastic holiday beverages. Stop by to try our Ho Ho Mint Hot Chocolate, Egg Nog Latte, Mint Freeze Mocha or a special Holiday Chai Tea. These will only be around for a limited time so swing on by to warm up!

Our baker has been busy creating all your favorites for the holiday season! Our famous spectacular holiday frosted cut-out cookies are available at our retail locations throughout campus. Other goodies include mint chocolate brownies, holiday candy and more!

Holiday Decorations

The Hilltop Center Food Court staff had a great time decorating this holiday season! Be sure to stop by and see their winter wonderland before they close up for winter break. Our Catering staff also always has a great time bring the holidays to each and every event during this wonderful time of year!

Warm up with new specials at Intermezzos Café!

Well our weather has finally taken the plunge and is a true reflection of what we refer to as our typical Wisconsin weather. But there’s no need to wear your hats and mittens all day. Instead, stop by Intermezzos Café for some warm deliciousness!

The newest addition to the Café is our new autumn drink specials, and so far they are hittin’ the spot! Also, warm up first thing in the morning with our Oatmeal Bar from 7 am – 10 a.m. Build your perfect breakfast by topping your oatmeal with mix-ins including brown sugar, maple syrup, raisins and so much more!

So stop trying to type with your mittens on and swing by Intermezzos Café. Our staff is excited to make you something to keep you warm!

Dining Options for Orientation

From coffee and lattes to fresh salads and subs, and even burgers and pizza, Blugold Dining has something delicious waiting for you over orientation! Start your day with a fresh coffee or espresso drink from Intermezzos Café and don’t forget to grab one of our delicious pastries, made right here on-campus at our Hilltop Center Bakery. Once you are ready for breakfast, stop into Blu Plate Diner for a made-to-order breakfast.

For Lunch, visit Marketplace for a toasted sandwich from SubConnection, or grab a slice of homemade pizza from Enzo’s Italiano or try one of our many entrees at Blu Plate Diner. Marketplace also has a large selection of grab and go beverages, bakery treats and salty snacks. The Terrace is also open and features a number of exciting foods in an all-you-care-to-eat setting.On sunny days, visit our Brat Tent on the campus mall for a tasty grilled bratwurst, hotdog or hamburger!

Finally, for an afternoon pick-me-up, drop by Green Bean, our organic food market, for a quick snack or grab one of our frozen entrees to bring home for dinner!

Welcome Back Everyone

Blugold Dining would like to welcome all students, faculty and staff back to UW-Eau Claire! We hope you had an enjoyable, relaxing break and wish you all the best for a great spring semester. While you were on break we made a few changes. For your convenience, to-go containers will be available on the weekends until 9pm in The Riverview Café and 8pm in The Terrace. Also, Marketplace Food Court in Davies Center will now stay open until 8pm Monday through Thursday and 4pm on Fridays and Intermezzos Café will stay open until 10pm Monday through Saturday. Blugold Dining welcomes students and parents to Summer Orientation at UW-Eau Claire!

Please join us for lunch at one of our great dining locations such as Marketplace or The Terrace cafeteria in Davies Center. You can also grab a grilled bratwurst or burger from our Brat Tent and listen to some great music on the campus mall. Don’t forget to visit Intermezzos Café for your morning latte and stop by Green Bean, our organic market – both in Davies Center!

New Dining Areas for Fall 2008

Blugold Dining is happy to announce five new dining areas on campus. Sub Connection replaced Blimpie in the Hilltop Center Food Court. Sub Connection serves a variety of hot and cold subs and wraps, along with two daily soups. We will also open a new self-serve salad bar at the Hilltop Center Food Court in the next few weeks. The salad bar will feature a wide selection of fresh vegetables, dressings and other toppings.

In Davies Center, Intermezzos Café is now open and has replaced Jazzman’s Café. Intermezzos features many Fair Trade certified coffees, all served in eco-friendly compostable cups. For your sweet tooth we also feature a large selection of house made muffins, bagels, cookies, cheesecakes and more! Also in Davies Center, a second Sub Connection opened with the same great menu as the Hilltop location. Next door to Davies Center in the McIntyre Library, we are opening Library Grounds in the first floor hallway. Library Grounds features espresso, mochas, lattes and other popular coffee drinks, along with a wide selection of grab and go sandwiches, salads and snacks.
