Earth Month - Local Food Buffet in The Dulany

The Dulany restaurant in Davies Center will host three lunch buffets featuring local food items during the month of April. The buffets will be held April 1, 15 and 29 from 11am - 1:30pm.

The April 1, 2009 buffet will feature these locally grown foods:

Viennese Ball 2009 - Employment / Group Fundraising Opportunity

The Blugold Dining catering department is currently looking for students interested in working at the Viennese Ball, April 17 & 18, 2009.

This is a great opportunity to see the wonders of the ball and earn some extra money at the same time. Students can choose from an array of jobs including, but not limited to, cocktail wait staff, bartender, busser, bar runner, torte server, cashier, and deli attendant. There are also a variety of positions availablefor those looking to work behind the scenes.

The shifts tend to start in the early evening and run until clean up is completed. This is a great opportunity for a group fundraiser as well, and groups are encouraged to contact the Catering Director, Terri Knudtson at 836-2632 or knudtstl@uwec.edu, if they are interested in signing up or visit our office at 227 Davies Center, across from The Terrace.

New Vegan Options at Green Bean

Green Bean in Davies Center now carries several macro and vegan products from Karen & Sisters. We are currently featuring vegan chicken salad, vegan chicken lo mein, chickpea masala, sushi rolls, macro sushi, sweet and sour tofu or brown rice. Stop in today and see our huge selection this and other organic products! Green Bean is located next to the University Bookstore.

Spring Break Hours

A number of Blugold Dining locations will be closed or have limited hours as we get closer to Spring Break. On Wednesday, March 11th, Café a la Cart in the Haas Fine Arts Center will close and on Thursday, Café a la Cart in Hibbard Hall will close. Both Café a la Cart locations will reopen on Monday, March 23rd. Also on Thursday, Library Grounds will close for the duration of the break and the Hilltop Center Food Court will close one hour earlier at 11pm. On Friday, The Dulany and Higherground will be closed and a number of dining locations will be closing early. Intermezzo’s Café will close at 1pm, Marketplace at 3pm, Green Bean at 1pm, The Terrace at 1:30pm and the Hilltop Center Food Court at 8pm.

During Spring Break, Marketplace in Davies Center will be open featuring Blu Plate Diner, Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3pm. On Sunday, March 22nd, The Terrace, Riverview Café, Marketplace and the Hilltop Center Food Court will reopen with limited hours.

Freshly Baked Muffins at Café a la Cart

For a limited time, Café a la Cart in Hibbard Hall and the Haas Fine Arts Center will be offering a coffee and muffin combo featuring a 16 oz. Starbucks coffee and a freshly baked Texas muffin from our on-campus bakery for just $2.59! As always, both Café a la Cart locations feature beverages, bakery and a large selection of grab and go breakfast and lunch items including salads and sandwiches.

Soup and Salad Bar in Hilltop Center Food Court

Blugold Dining is pleased to announce the grand opening of our new soup and salad bar in the Hilltop Center Food Court. Customers can create their own salad from a rotating selection of fresh greens, vegetables and toppings. To celebrate our grand opening, we will be offering a combo meal featuring a small salad and bottle of the new Vitamin Water 10 for only $4.39! The Dulany St. Patrick’s Day Buffet

Make your reservations today for The Dulany St. Patrick’s Day buffet on Thursday, March 12th from 11 am to 1:30 pm. The menu includes Irish parsnip and apple soup, Dublin apple and bacon salad, shamrock salad, traditional Irish salad, Irish cabbage and potato slaw, Dublin corned beef and cabbage, colcannon, vegetarian Irish stew, grilled Rueben & Rachel sandwiches, savory red cabbage and red potatoes, baked parsnips, Dublin coddle and Irish soda bread.

A number of delicious desserts including Guinness Cake and Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheesecake will also be served. The buffet is $8.05 per person (plus tax). Reserve your seats early!
